Murder of Michael Jordan's father examined in new doc, raising questions about shocking investigation

EXCLUSIVE: For 25 years, Daniel Green has maintained his innocence in the 1993 murder of Michael Jordan’s father.

Now a new true-crime documentary, titled "Moment of Truth," is examining the problematic investigation behind James Raymond Jordan’s shocking death in North Carolina at age 56.

The five-part series, directed by Matthew Perniciaro and Clay Johnson also promises to present new compelling information with critical court documents and evidence photos from the case, as well as exclusive interviews and never-before-released trial audio.

"I was living in Raleigh, North Carolina when the crime took place," Perniciaro told Fox News. "So it’s something I’ve been aware of for the majority of my life… There were so many unanswered questions about this case, that even at the time, as a young person, I remember elements not fully adding up."

Opinion: Golden Bear-winning film is more than 'loony porn'

"I don't consider the film a provocation. Even the sex scene is quite banal," said Romanian director Radu Jude at the press conference on Friday, shortly after he found out that he was the winner of the 2021 Berlin International Film Festival's Golden Bear award with his film Bad Luck Banging or Loony Porn.

Delivering on its title's promise, the opening scene of Jude's satire is a very realistic-looking homemade porn tape — definitely not for prudes.

How WandaVision Proves Marvel Can Tell a Love Story That Matters

The pages of Marvel Comics include some of the most iconic romantic relationships in pop culture, but looking at the feature films that comprise the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you’d be forgiven for not really knowing that fact.

These twenty-some-odd movies have given us everything from space operas and magic to war dramas and spy films. Yet, in all this time, we’ve never really gotten a love story, and certainly not a film in which the central romantic relationship was the primary driving force behind its narrative. Until now.

Golden Globes' biggest losers: Glenn Close, Frances McDormand and the voters

It may be an honor to be nominated, but people usually come to Hollywood awards shows to win.

Sunday's semi-virtual and very messy Golden Globes ceremony kicked off a strange pandemic awards season in Hollywood. Golden Globes: Best and worst moments, from Tina and Amy's jokes to Chadwick Boseman's emotional win

Well, that was something. Sunday’s Golden Globes were even more unpredictable and chaotic than usual, thanks in large part to the show’s hybrid virtual format. The three-hour ceremony was plagued by frequent sound issues and awkward small talk between nominees over Zoom, with fashion ranging from jaw-dropping gowns (Amanda Seyfried) to tie-dye hoodies (Jason Sudeikis). The telecast felt even more casual than years past, as nominees appeared from their homes with friends, partners, kids and dogs, and some imbibed throughout the event. (“Mank” director David Fincher could be seen taking shots when his film lost.)

How Hollywood Sold Glamour

In the September 1932 issue of Modern Screen, actress Loretta Young appears in a full-page portrait. She’s artfully slouched in a chair, wearing a long dress with delicate cuffs that graze her hands and a semi-sheer top that doesn’t reveal so much as suggest her delicate shoulders. She has a cigarette in one hand, and she’s looking away from the camera, creating a distance between her and the reader. You can’t fully know her, but you probably wish you did—if nothing else, to ask her how she does her mascara.

This photo provides a strong contrast to another portrait of Young, printed in a 1936 issue of Movie Classic. In this one, she’s smiling in a simple white shirt, long coat, boots, and pants. One hand is in her pocket and the other is curled around a leash connected to two large, docile dogs. She’s not quite looking at the camera here either, but you don’t necessarily need to know this woman. You probably already do.

The 100: Why Clarke Is The Main Character (& Why It's Octavia)

Viewers were introduced to Clarke Griffin before anyone else on The 100. At the time, her voiceover explained the apocalypse as she sat in solitary drawing on the floor. Over the years, Clarke was at the center of nearly every event. Although Clarke has done good and bad things, she was looked at to make the most prominent choices for humanity.

However, one of her most significant competitors for the main character is Octavia Blake. While this may not be easy to see in the first season, collectively, Octavia grew so much from the series premiere to the finale. Beaten, bruised, and came out the other side, Octavia has dealt with many emotional and physical storylines. While Octavia may not have always made the best decisions, she did have her moments of knowing the right thing to do.

Notably, the influencer-model is also the daughter of Yevgeny Kafelnikov, former world No.1 tennis player. Posing nude on an Sumatran elephant, Alesya shared a short video of her with the animal on her Instagram page on February 13, captioning it as “Natural vibes”. After criticism by animal lovers, the video has since been removed.

One of the comments on her post read, “This is not cool action, leave the elephant and use a chair or something else. This is cruelty,” as well as, “Why be naked? Do you think everyone is interested in seeing you naked? How does this elephant deserve to have treatment?” As per The Sun, another person wrote, “Poor elephant. Aren’t you ashamed to lie naked on an elephant? This is a living creature. Money overshadows everything.” Many animal groups including Save the Asian Elephants, also condemned her actions and described the post as ‘something else tragic’.
