NSW records second day of no local COVID-19 cases, but state not yet in the clear

New South Wales has recorded a second day of no new local COVID-19 cases, but there are still warnings the virus is still circulating in the community. There were two new cases in hotel quarantine, and more than 16,000 people were tested.

Senior police officer posthumously awarded after dying while trying to save drowning woman

A senior NSW Police officer who died trying to save the life of another woman has been farewelled in her hometown. Senior Constable Kelly Foster drowned at the Wollangambe Canyon at Mount Wilson on January 2. The young international student she was trying to save also died.

Man accused of stabbing attack during face mask argument at Windsor shopping centre

NSW records three new local coronavirus cases linked to Berala cluster

NSW has recorded three new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 overnight, with all of them linked to the Berala cluster in Sydney's west. A fourth case is a person who presented to the emergency department at Mount Druitt Hospital 

Young boy found on NSW South Coast

A 12-year-old boy from the New South Wales South Coast has been found after going missing since yesterday morning. The boy was last seen at a home in Worrigee, Nowra, on the morning of Sunday, January 10. Police have said he was located safe and well.
