Liz Peek: CPAC blasts cancel culture – could the attacks on Dr. Seuss be the tipping point?

If I were running against a Democrat in 2022, I would not talk about how Donald Trump’s policies delivered record-low poverty in the U.S., or Joe Biden’s dangerous and disingenuous $1.9 trillion "rescue" bill. I wouldn’t even rail about the Biden administration locking up children who have entered the country illegally, though it would be tempting, after the hysteria that met President Trump’s immigration policies.

No, if I wanted to defeat a Democrat, I’d talk about Dr. Seuss.

Trump says he requested 10K National Guard troops at Capitol on day of riot

Former President Trump told Fox News late Sunday that he expressed concern over the crowd size near the Capitol days before last month's deadly riots and personally requested 10,000 National Guard troops be deployed in response.

Trump told "The Next Revolution With Steve Hilton" that his team alerted the Department of Defense days before the rally that crowds might be larger than anticipated and 10,000 national guardsmen should be ready to deploy. He said that -- from what he understands -- the warning was passed along to leaders at the Capitol, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi -- and he heard that the request was rejected because these leaders did not like the optics of 10,000 troops at the Capitol.

James said Sunday that she expected to be granted a referral that would give her office subpoena power and allow her to deputize an outside law firm for "a rigorous and independent investigation" after Cuomo announced Sunday he would grant her request.
